Phuong N. Quang DDS, PhD, FACD
Meet Dr. Quang
Dr. Phuong Quang is a Board Certified Endodontist with the American Board of Endodontics. She is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, attended Lowell High School and graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish. She received dual DDS/PhD degrees in Dentistry and Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF. Her thesis involved Pain research which is very relevant to her current practice in Endodontics. Prior to Endodontics specialty training at the UT Health at San Antonio, Dr. Quang practiced general dentistry in the UCSF Faculty Group Practice and in private practice. She was also a Volunteer Clinical Instructor in Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at UCSF.
Currently aside from private practice, Dr. Quang teaches at the UOP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Professor of Endodontics. She was past President of the Alameda County Dental Society and served as a Reviewer on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics. She is an active member of the American Board of Endodontics, the American Association of Endodontists, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
In her free time, she enjoys jogging, hiking, camping and spending quality time with family and friends. In addition to English, Dr. Quang is fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese and Spanish.
