Phuong N. Quang DDS, Ph.D.
Meet Dr. Quang
Dr. Phuong Quang is a Board Certified Endodontist with the American Board of Endodontics. She is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, attended Lowell High School and graduated from Univ. of CA, Berkeley with a major in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish. She received dual DDS/PhD degrees in Dentistry and Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at Univ. of CA, San Francisco. Her thesis involved Pain research which is very relevant to her current practice in Endodontics. Prior to Endodontics specialty training at the Univ. of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Quang practiced general dentistry in the UCSF Faculty Group Practice and in private practice. She was also a Volunteer Clinical Instructor in Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at UCSF.
Currently aside from private practice, Dr. Quang teaches at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at Univ. of the Pacific as an Assistant Professor of Endodontics. She also serves as a Reviewer on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics. She is an active member of the American Board of Endodontics, the American Association of Endodontists, Alameda County Dental Society (Director At-Large), California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
In her free time, she enjoys jogging, hiking, camping and spending quality time with family and friends. In addition to English, Dr. Quang is fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese and Spanish.
